How do you repair a wooden door??????

Does anyone out there know of a way to repair one of those white wooden doors???? My daughter threw a baseball at one and since its hollow its left it smashed in and cracked. We live in an apartment and I don’t want to loose my deposit !!!!! Anyone know a quick fix repair, short of buying a whole new door?????????

If it is painted white, then that is easy. There are several options I’ve used on my rentals.

Depending on the hole, you can use plain old wood putty. You can use outside wood putty for a stronger bond.

You can also use car body putty. Yes, Bondex. It is durable, sandable, waterproof and paintable.

After you fill the hole sand with decreasing grit paper till it is smooth, then paint it white. Trust me, the landlord won’t notice if the “white” paint is even close to the original color.
